The pub is found in Earl's Court, Central London, W14 9SD.

Located in Greyhound Road in the shadow of The Queen's Club which makes for a rather circuitous walk from the nearest Underground station Barons Court. It’s a local drinkers’ pub in a modest, rendered Victorian building but its interior is a cross between a museum and a museum piece in its own right. The drinking area wraps round the servery on three sides and is a time-warp of 1950s/1960s fitting-up. The style of much of what you see has sometimes been called ‘publican’s rustic’, a deliberate attempt at rustic nostalgia with chunky woodwork, false ceiling beams and rough stonework. Facing on arrival is the bar counter and its slices of tree trunks on the upright face and brass counter top. There is lots of false half-timbering but the most surprising thing is the reused carved woodwork from old pieces of furniture. It seems that when such heavy, overblown carving was deeply out of fashion it could be bought up cheaply and so pieces found their way here, were dismantled and used to adorn the pub. Been in the same family through at least 2 generations. 3 handpumps adorn the bar counter. Following closure in July 2021 by Hippo Inns due to inability to fully staff post-Covid, the site was taken over by RedCat Pub company and reopened in early October 2021.

We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 7 different beers and tried 3 of them.
