A very pleasant pub. The lone barmaid coped valiantly with the seemingly unanticipated large influx of customers ahead of football at Moss Rose. A wide range of Redwillow cask beers available.

Evening. Second consecutive pub with lights off and closed on a Monday. Have the Boomtown Rats visited town?

Evening. Only been open a fortnight and, for the moment, is the talk of the town and has nicked custom from other local venues. Exciting new venture from a local popular brewery.

Just off Sunderland Street in Park Green this house opened in September / October 2013 as a shop conversion of a previous cake (prior to that pet) shop. Extensive floor space made up of wooden parquet tiles. On the left hand rear side is a brass fronted bar and there is fixed seating in three bays on the right hand side with a mixture of free standing seating and tables in-between. Some former theatre or cinema flip-up seats provide extra seating in the corridor leading to the toilets. Cask beers from Redwillow brewery plus cask guests from other micro-breweries. The back fitting of the bar carries 15 wall mounted keg taps in the style seen previously at Euston Tap in London except the taps are at a lower, more comfortably accessible, level. The keg taps are numbered using small brass plaques with Roman numerals. The cask and keg beer menu is displayed on an overhead TV screen which shows abv and price too for each selection - prices may be half and pint or third and half depending on the price sensitivity. 7 handpumps adorn the bar counter and 15 keg taps adorn the back wall. A further and welcome addition to the Waters Green / Sunderland Street area. Closed on a Monday.

We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 15 different beers and tried 4 of them.
