Lovely, traditional pub on Water Lane leading to the river. This place has a real old-fashioned 'drinkers pub' feel to it. I liked it.

Second new visit on the Richmond-Twickenham route. Great little place with quality ale. It will rival the Old Ship for a place on the official route next autumn for the England games.

One of the oldest pubs in Richmond, the Watermans Arms in cobbled Water Lane, originally called the King's Head at the Ferry in Richmond, dates back to at least 1660. Once a traditional Young's pub, full of character, the Watermans Arms had a truly local feel. Often featured in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide. Re-opened with a shortened name after a massive refit on 21st November 2019. No longer sells real ale.

We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 5 different beers and tried 3 of them.
