We came here on the recommendation of a Liverpudlian from work. Umm, maybe it was just the time of day we hit it but it was quite, well, edgy. Still, the back room was pleasant.

first visit here, lovely old fashioned boozer near the city centre, chatty locals, all of whom appeared to be short, strange. I felt quite at home! 60@s music playing, I could have stayed here all night.

Pretty quiet on a Wednesday evening to be honest, but it can be busy during the day. I liked the old fashioned feel of a proper unspoilt pub. Good place to come for a beer.

On Cases Street this pub enjoys a reputation for having a number of local characters. A narrow 2 room pub with the bar in the front room and more seating in the rear room. Look out for the interesting artefacts on the walls and the photos and prints. 6 handpumps on. Very handy for Liverpool Central railway station and shopping. Beware of the sloping floor.
