13:00 Having found the cafe we thought we were out of luck as the curtains were hardly open. However, the door opened and there in front of the bar sat the obligatory old lady in her armchair. She got up, said Jupiler, and got some. I tried saying Trappist but it got me nowhere. The pub dog was all over us and the parrot tried to climb out of his cage. Eventually her son appeared and he spoke English. His mother was 87 and had lived at the cafe for 71 years. The jukebox was 52 years old but no longer worked. The cafe is open from 07:00 every day. The toilet as usual was reached through the kitchen.
