18:30, and being a stones throw from another 2016 gbg entry, it would have been rude not to pop by. I was last in here 10 years ago, and it was a just as good then as it it is today, if not, a better still. A cracker of an entry, with a varied ale selection from far and wide noted. Very impressed, good layout, all wooden floors, tables, chairs etc, proper old type. At times like this....but I can wait for another time.

I've been here once before and it was in the mid 90's. Tony reckoned there were a few blokes in fighting mood but I think it was just a trick of the light because I didn't pick up on anything. I thought it was a nice pub. The landlord was enthusiastic about the beer and told us about the local Tavy brewery. We even got talking to a local about beer. At least I think it was about beer; he'd had a few and it was hard to tell.

Plymouth CAMRA City Pub of the Year 2013/4/5/6/7/8, Cider and Perry Pub of the Year 2013/4/5/6/7/8 and overall local branch Pub of the Year 2013/2014/2015/2016/2017/2018. Closed for 10 days in August 2018 for a refit.
