Late evening visit. The pool area was thriving and I watched the pundits' spiel, after the Liverpool FC win at Wolves, on the TV.

Better than expected rail connections meant that we arrived at Plumstead at 11:00 and all bar one of the pubs on our plan did not open until 12:00 or later so we came here for our first pint. Just one other customer in the pub at the time of our visit, we had a good chat with the landlady about our plans for the rest of the day. Just the one beer on but Adnams Bitter and Purity Mad Goose were settling in the cellar.

1130 we were the first customers. Landlady says the pub was recently refurbished, maintaining the wood panelling interior.

Evening. Very pleased to talk to a regular who had been to the Beasley's Brewery Tap in Lakedale Road in the 60s. One I always wished I'd done but was too young and innocent then.
