Last stop on a Bermondsey Beer Mile Walk. If I find time, I shall add the non-cask beer outlets visited too.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Southwark - Top Drop Pale Ale4.50ExcellentPale gold in colour. Dry. Great hops – Citra, Sorachi Ace, Cascade & Mosaic.
Southwark - Lemon Aid Kit4.40ExcellentPale and hazy. Lemony, as one might expect from the name.

Evening until very late close. The years roll on inexorably - another SE London CAMRA branch AGM held here tonight, well attended and some controversial points made about the forthcoming Revitalisation decisions to be made.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Southwark - Bermondsey Best4.40GoodIn good condition and moving fast here tonight
Southwark - Double Dry Hopped IPA6.50AcceptableHazy and did not hold a head, I don't recall it being shown as unfined

Mid-evening visit with a bit of a skinfull already inside from a visit to Brew by Numbers nearby. Very welcoming here but absolutely freezing cold. In fact I wrote ‘FREEZING’ in my notebook and I rarely use capital letters.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Southwark - 66 Red5.30ExcellentThis beer was a home-brew competition winner (originally at 6.6%). It includes six malt types and six hop varieties in the recipe and I thought it was great.
Southwark - Courage SE1 Green Hop Amber Ale (presumably a collaboration with Charles Wells)4.40GoodA slightly odd business, Southwark licencing the use of ‘Courage SE1’ in this way. This beer is a hazy pale gold (not really amber) colour. Good fresh hop tastes.
Southwark - Aramis5.00GoodHazy gold. A single-hop beer using an unfamiliar, slightly musty variety.

Saturday afternoon and very busy. We had a good chat with the owner about beer and breweries.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Southwark - Oatmeal Stout5.10ExceptionalFresh on to replace the mild, absoutely superb.
Southwark - Maltby Street Mild3.80ExcellentI managed to get one of the last pints before this ran out. A good traditional Mild, it reminded me of Young's BMA but I could be mistaken about that.
Southwark - Courage SE1 Session IPA (collaboration with Charles Wells)4.00Excellent

It’s Friday evening quiz night in here and there are a few tables of enthusiastic quizzers ready to go.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Southwark - Oatmeal Stout5.10ExcellentThick, black, heavy and sweetish.
Southwark - Smoked Porter4.50AcceptableDark brown. Smells strongly of smoke, but smoky taste is a bit more subtle. I found it just a bit thin.

I’d not really planned to end this particular little pub-crawl here – but had been unable to get into Anspach & Hobday nearby as it was “full to capacity” (carol singers I think). Contrastingly quiet in here. This bar must have the widest range of cask beers brewed on site of any London taproom?
BeerABVScoreNotes
Southwark - White IPA5.60GoodPale amber in colour. Crisp and hoppy, with lots of orange flavours. Tasty with a lingering bitter fruitiness.

Quite busy in here, although no quiz tonight as the quiz-master had failed to show. The guv’nor quipped that they would be advertising the post in the morning.

Evening venue for a CAMRA's Revitalisation Project Consultation Meeting. Good to see and hear so many active enthusiastic members with their strong views being put forward. Other beers details lost in this website's server crash.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Southwark - Potters' Fields Porter4.00AcceptableAverage condition. With low Progressive Beer Duty and zero transport costs the price was exorbitant
Southwark - Mosaic5.00AcceptableHazy and flattish. With low Progressive Beer Duty and zero transport costs the price was exorbitant
Southwark - Druid Brew Thrice Hopped Pale Ale4.90PoorFlat as a pancake, unappetising. With low Progressive Beer Duty and zero transport costs the price was exorbitant

Busier than I have seen this bar before, and it turns out that it is Pub Quiz night.
BeerABVScoreNotes
