Arrived here at 11:15 after the drive from Brighton. It was of course closed, as it doesn't open until 12, but...the door was unlocked and the lights were on so we thought we'd try our luck. Luckily the new owner was more than happy to serve us (as it was really 12:15 by rights).

Adnams - Mosaic Pale Ale4.10ExceptionalWhen at it's best this is an exceptional beer. Consistently good in here. Easy drinking, fresh, lemony.

After Waitrose shop. Only ones in for a bit.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Sharp's - Doom Bar4.00AcceptableStill no Mosaic - it's in the cellar resting.

Turned up about 1sh, pretty empty and only one beer on. Apparently new owners take over next week.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Sharp's - Doom Bar4.00GoodThe Mosaic hadn't been delivered so it was a choice between this and Thatcher's cider. Decided on this and... really not bad, good condition, good temperature, but bog standard ubiquitous brown bitter.

Late afternoon fairly busy. A new pub for me, a stop off while we waited for the New Inn to open at 1730.
