Single bar pub with an upper dining room. The original pub was destroyed by a V2 and this replacement was built in 1958 by Whitbread. The interior retains a wealth of original features. The plaster decoration on the ceilings are noteworthy. The upper floor Gents is a masterpiece of 1950s design. The name comes from a Whitbread architect in the Georgian era.
