Stop 4 on our Ramsgate crawl - this town is superb for a pub crawl. Sat in the corner (main?) bar and didn’t notice any real ales at first. My daughter and I went for a half of the Earl Grey. Getting hungry at the stage and the pub was happy for us to “order in”. The pizza place across the road obliged with a delivery. A lovely building - and I particularly like the little “snug” bar that I only found on the way to the loo.

Marble - Earl Grey IPA6.80ExcellentThis was superb - my daughter described it as “having the nose of a wine”.

Mid evening and busy with amusingly loud swearing SAGA louts - and that included the men amongst them! We sat by the fire and enjoyed the raucous atmosphere in here tonight.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Tiny Rebel - Dutty4.20ExcellentHazy and fairly fresh didn't detract from the enjoyment of drinking this earthy hoppy citrus and pineapple broth.

Two cask ales on among the numerous keykegs. Discussion was about why a 4.2% citra was at £3.90 and a Gadds 4.7% beer at only £3.20.

Fourth pub and fairly quiet until we arrived. Echoing Phil's remarks regarding Keg vs Cask.

The pub is found in Ramsgate, Kent, CT11 8NY.

Corner pub in King Street, Ramsgate. It has previously been known as the Hamiltons Tavern and Maguires, reopened by Late Knights Brewery in late 2014 as the Ravensgate Arms who sold cask and keg beers from its own and other independent breweries, it now operates as a Free House since autumn 2016. Check which beers are cask ales and which are keg on a large blackboard. 3 handpumps and 10 keg lines. Closed in May 2017 due to licensing issues. Bare wooden floor boarded throughout. Re-opened under new management on 31st August 2017 after refurbishment and with the involvement of Eddie Gadd from Ramsgate Brewery. Closed April 2023. Subsequently re-opened that year with new name and identity - principally a cocktail type bar with food.

We have visited this pub 47 times, seen 63 different beers and tried 40 of them.
