Having tried the Cherry Tree, Yaxley, and found it now closes Sunday lunchtime we came here. Only my second visit, and my first since a period of closure and subsequent renovation. Busy with diners, a band was setting up on the outside patio and the tent shelter was busy.

The pub is found in Eye, Suffolk, IP23 7AB.

Only pub left in town from an historic total of 26. In Cross Street, a timber framed building with inglenook fireplaces. Three bars, including one which was a former butcher's shop. The rear room is called the Ego Room and has a wall of mirrors. Four beers normally on, three on gravity, one on pump.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 5 different beers and tried 1 of them.
