Always a treat to come here. Sat outside in the well maintained beer garden with my family (miss you Trice). The balmy weather complemented the occasion.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Bullards - No. 11 New Zealand Bitter4.50ExceptionalThe landlord seems to think that Bullard's is now independent of Redwell brewery, hence the listing under the Bullard's name. The beer was simply stunning and looked to be extremely popular. Look forward to trying more beers from this brewery.
Buffy's - Polly's Folly4.30ExcellentThere are lots of flavours to enjoy in this well rounded and smooth Norfolk Bitter.
Norfolk Brewhouse (uses Moongazer brand name too) - Moon Gazer Golden Ale4.00ExcellentAnother (in my opinion)quality Norfolk Bitter, always complemented by fabulous malty notes.
06 Oct 2016 (Bear & Ragged Staff)
Under new management for the last couple of years or so. Serving excellent food and quality real ales.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Tipple's - Redhead4.20GoodDidn't appear too red, neither did it taste like a red ale. Earthy and sweet, not sure what style this would be classed as. Good condition and presentation.
Wolf - Norfolk Pride4.60GoodVery good malty ale with a lingering malty aftertaste. Good presentation and condition.
02 Nov 2014 (Bear & Ragged Staff)

Grain - Best Bitter4.20GoodQuality bitter.

14:20 Pleasant walk to the pub from Weybourne station on the North Norfolk Railway. The lunch trade had gone so the pub was relatively quiet. Good chat with Landlord about his plans for the pub.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Woodforde's - Wherry3.80GoodStruggling to find a really good example of this.

25 Jun 2013 (Bear & Ragged Staff)
Another busy night.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Humpty Dumpty - Cheltenham Flyer4.60GoodNot sure what to make of this. It was OK but seemed to lack flavour.
