I was in the centre of town running errands and I was thirsty. I didn't have much time so the whole visit took no more than 3 minutes (and most of that was waiting for her to finish serving someone else). Nearly everyone was outside in the Al Fresco seating area which gave the pub an airy feel. Still, I had things to do so I didn't stay to enjoy it.

Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter3.70ExcellentThis was excellent (which is saying something for a Shepheard Neame beer in my book). Really fresh (I heard the landlady saying that she'd just changed the barrel) with hints of orange and a lovely hoppy bite on the end. There was even a pleasant hint of shep's yeast.

Sunday afternoon and this had the feel of a community boozer. West Ham was on the television and the beer was flowing.
