11:30 My first visit to Chippenham in over thirty years. This place read well in the GBG and so it proved to be. Very friendly welcome. Impressive range of gravity cider, 22 polypins in total.

Evening. First stop on my first ever visit to Chippenham. Enthusiastic enough real ale and cider haunt. The landlord rushed outside to break up a fight between two passing non-customers, one of whom had decided one of the pub's wooden folding stools was a good head stover.
