Really good beer festival. Lots of people, lovely old location, plenty of strong winter beers and a band to ignore on Friday night. One of the best beer festivals in the country

I really do like this beer festival but this year it didn't seem as busy or have quite the same atmosphere as previous ones.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Goacher's - Gold Star5.10ExcellentThank god for Mr. Goacher because by the time I reached this beer I was wondering where all the 'Very Good' to 'Excellent' beers had got to
Dark Star - Porter (aka City)5.50ExcellentA classic porter in the plain porter style
Elgood's - North Brink Porter5.00ExcellentA good porter that wasn't dissimilar to their 'Black Dog Mild', just a bit stronger
Highgate - Old Ale5.30ExcellentNice and sour just as it should be
Westerham - Special Bitter Ale "1965"5.00GoodI liked it although others though it tasted of vegetables.
Everards (see entries against Joule's & Robinsons whilst its new brewery was being built) - Old Original5.20GoodA very drinkable amber coloured beer that didn't taste its strength
Alcazar - Windjammer6.00AcceptableAn amber to pale copper coloured beer that tasted strong and syrupy. However, Phil's pint later in the night tasted 5/5!
Sarah Hughes - Dark Ruby6.00AcceptableTasted like Rother Valley 'Level Best'. Not unpleasant but not for me really
