12:50 Following a platform pantomime at Sheffield we finally got to Elsecar 22 minutes late and came here as our first stop. Only one beer on as the Landlady was cleaning the pipes. Really friendly welcome. Advice on potential beers to stock was sought from our group.

First pub on the walk from the railway station to the Heritage Centre. Recently, 2015, renovated and extended and decorated in gastro grey. Remnants of the former interior including the fielded panelling wainscotting survive. Two rooms served from a central bar.

We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
