Whether or not you like what they have done in here it does seem to have been an instant success, very busy in here tonight. I asked the girl behind the bar who brews the Geest Ale and she confirmed it is Pig & Porter but she was not sure about the ABV and said it was probably about 5.2%
Pig & Porter - Geest Ale (house beer)5.20GoodABV shown is a best guess.

A swift half in passing mid afternoon. This is an extensively renovated bistro style pub now that would not look out of place in Kensington or Chelsea. Three ales on pump but all rather annoyingly with bespoke pump clips that didn’t feature the brewer and one that didn’t even have the ABV - I was told by a local that it was Pig & Porter (labelled as just “geest (sic) ale local and proud” - the young woman serving had no idea of the provenance. What trendy nonsense is that?
Tonbridge - Lookers Liquor4.20ExcellentA very nice light, hoppy ale - probably a house name.

18:30 visit. Back in Folkestone and a first visit here for me and for P&B for over severn years? Nice pub, big on Premier soccer, but quiet now.
Jennings - Cumberland Ale4.00GoodThe sole real ale on, in good condition. One other pump normally available, but not today.

Largish one bar pub with pool tables at one end, seating at the other. Band were setting up on Friday night. Upto 4 beers on
Adnams - Broadside4.70AcceptableNormally one of my favourite beers, I don't know what they had done to this. Had a bitter finish, but none of the malty fruit it should have
Eagle (was Wells & Young's, was Charles Wells, was Wells) - Courage Best Bitter4.00Not Tried

Only about a dozen people in on a mid monday afternoon. Just 2 real ales on.
Eagle (was Wells & Young's, was Charles Wells, was Wells) - Young's Bitter3.70GoodLight brown in colour, slight hops on aroma. Medium in mouth with good citrusy bitter finish that lasts
Adnams - Broadside4.70Not Tried

2 pool tables, darts, live music, big screen Sky Sports. Large one room bar with not a huge amount of seating, feels like a music pub. Upto 4 beers on, quiet for a Saturday lunchtime
Eagle (was Wells & Young's, was Charles Wells, was Wells) - Young's Bitter3.70ExcellentGood smell of hops. Tight balance of malt and tart hops
Adnams - Broadside4.70Not Tried
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00Not Tried
