Mid evening busy around the bar but space free elsewhere so we nabbed the ubiquitous wobbly table by the entrance. Great service from the guv frequently wandering around ready to offer refills if required.

Early evening. A good mix of age and gender when I arrived. But just old blokes when I left. This has been freshened up since the Scarecrow days. Very hospitable new host “call me Jay” Jason. Definitely focussed on real ale as well as cider now. 3 good ales on. Bumped into an old salty acquaintance Yacht Club Dave. Good chat - and he remarkably knew Avril, the iconic landlady (1970/80s) of the Dolphin, Canterbury.

Evening 7.50pm. Lights off, no sign of life despite opening hours sign saying 9pm close. No explanation or apology sign that I could see.

Just the one ale on - but plenty of ciders of course - a few hardy souls in.

Late on in the evening. Having found The Mash Tun closed earlier was coincidental to find a drayman delivering here as a favour for The Mash Tun and he was off even at this time of night to deliver to the Red Lion at Snargate.

Oakham - Inferno4.00ExcellentTop notch

Early evening - glad to get here at last - few in but very friendly. Big do planned for the evening with "Dark side of the Moo" ready for the occasion. Like it - and the oversize glasses to ensure a full pint.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Elland - Beyond the Pale4.20ExcellentFresh and vibrant. Shame it is not Summer.
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Dark Side of the Moo7.00ExcellentLiquorice, smoky - a big beer in all respects.

Mid evening visit. Loud carol singing started as I went to the toilet and upon my return a party of female songster Kings of the Orient had entered, how spooky to see those pencilled on beards so I scurried off.

Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Seasider4.30Good

Evening visit. Overly warm and cosy on a balmy night, exacerbated by a brisk walk with a heavy bag. The enigma of The Breakwater Brewery Taproom being closed all day today was answered here.
