BeerABVScoreNotes
Burnt Mill - IPA4.30ExcellentWe could argue about whether this was an IPA or not but it was everything that Russian Doll wasn't. Fresh, crisp with a carefully built flavour profile. Maybe BrewDog should buy the brewery and move the staff to senior positions in Ellon.

No cask Punk again.
BeerABVScoreNotes
BrewDog - Russian Doll4.00PoorOn cask but murky and poorly defined. Unpleasant, astringent finish.
22 Aug 2019 (McGargle)
Packed.
BeerABVScoreNotes
BrewDog - Zombie Cake5.00GoodRich, creamy 'porter'.
01 Aug 2017 (McGargle)
Busy as usual. Friendly, enthusiastic staff.
BeerABVScoreNotes
BrewDog - Hazy Jane7.20ExcellentBordering on 5* this NEIPA was juicy and sweet with soft mouthfeel and limited bitterness.
BrewDog - Cloudwater collab NEIPA V28.50ExcellentComplete contrast to Hazy Jane, this beer bordered on the elegant/austere. Much more focussed it seemed closer to a DIPA but very enjoyable. 660ml bottle.
17 Nov 2016 (McGargle)
Brim measure glasses regularly served with 2cm head.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Buxton - SPA4.10AcceptableLess body than the bottled version. Disappointed.
17 Feb 2016 (McGargle)
Busyish early evening. Good to see some staff from Gallowgate working there.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Beavertown - Gamma Ray (keg)5.40Good
BrewDog - Jet Black Heart4.70GoodThey've changed the dispense and now use a CO2/N2 mix. What a difference! Body and flavour in abundance. Wonder how they'd work that trick with cask?
Fourpure - Hoptart3.70GoodLiked this but wouldn't have recogised it as Berliner Weisse. More of a very pale ale with dominant lemon flavours. Eyewateringly priced.
11 Feb 2016 (McGargle)
I like lined glasses but not when given short measure and told 'It will settle'. It would but not by that amount.
BeerABVScoreNotes
BrewDog - Jet Black Heart4.70PoorNew beer to me but barstaff said it was a black IPA. Surprised then to see BrewDog describe it as milk stout. It was neither; lacked body and any discernible flavour profile.
11 Dec 2015 (McGargle)
Opening night and the place was heaving. Staff having fun except those in the kitchen who were trying to keep a grip. Sound first impression but needs settling time.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Beavertown - Gamma Ray (keg)5.40GoodInitially served Punk in error but quickly changed. Solid, hop forward pale ale.

BrewDog's second Aberdeen bar. This one is much larger with a club downstairs - UnderDog, of course. More food on offer and a bottle shop which, to start with at least, offers excellent value.
