13:00 Very quiet and peaceful with the sun streaming through the windows. There was a most unusual special offer. Order two main courses and get a free two hour parking permit.

The pub is found in Chester, Cheshire, CH1 1RN.

Street corner pub adjacent to the city walls. Three rooms, two of which are of sufficient vintage to feature on CAMRA's Heritage pub website. The pub has a large collection of memorabilia associated with the Great War. A blackboard in the doorway discourages stag and hen parties and pub crawls.

We have visited this pub once, seen 2 different beers and tried 1 of them.
