Early evening although seemingly after peak crowd tonight. Pleased to catch up at last with some of the Five Points Brewery anniversary special beers.
Five Points - Baltic Porter8.40ExceptionalFrom key-keg and exceptionally good. Almost black in colour, Strong. Quite dry, but with an almost creamy mouthfeel. Coffee and nuts.
Five Points - Hybrid DIPA8.70ExcellentFrom key-keg. Obviously strong. Hazy amber in colour. Bags of hops and a hint of brett I thought – it is after all a collaboration with Wild Beer.

Pressure Drop - Quebec Syrup Heist 6.20ExcellentFrom key-keg. Dark brown in colour – a very rich Brown Ale. Has a maple/Demerara sugar sweetness but also a dry finish. Bitter. Complex.

Elusive - Overdrive (Lap 2 – Zeus, Centennial & Citra) 5.50ExcellentAmber in colour. Very full-bodied and flavoursome.
Fourpure - Galaxy5.70ExcellentA very nice Pale Ale on key-keg dispense. Galaxy hop is not quite as in-your-face as some brewers’ versions of this beer. And there is a little bit of caramel in the background too.

The pub is found in Waterloo, Central London, SE1 7ES.

A quite small modern bar in Sutton Walk in railway arch 147 on the line to Charing Cross, near Waterloo railway station, which opened on 18th March 2016. There is an extensive selection of 6 cask and 20 keg beers (although there are 22 keg taps) all dispensed from taps mounted on the copper bar back. All cask and keg beers are listed with name, abv and price on a blackboard above the bar back. The cellar and storage is in a structure in an adjoining arch. Handy for BFI IMAX and the Royal Festival Hall.
