Two visits here today but the first one was just for breakfast and no beer, I have to say that the breakfast was very good quality and wonderful value for money and I am glad that I came here instead of visiting another well known pub chain. A group of five of us came in during the afternoon and finished the two beers that were originally on offer.
BeerABVScoreNotes

Very large pub on high street, part of the Marstons estate and also a hote 3 beers - pedigree, Jennings and Brakspears Gold which was well kept if a little cold and creamy head. Good priced menu of staple pub food, not much competition in the area unless you like GK.......... Staff have to multi task which can seem that you have to wait for service, but it was not too busy being midweek. With luck weekends will see more staff on.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Brakspear (at Marston's Wychwood) - Oxford Gold4.00ExcellentBut too cold, with Northern creamy head forced through sparkler, but well kept
Jennings (since closure now brewed at Marston's) - Cumberland Ale4.00GoodAgain bit too cold and creamy head, but that is what people expect here it seems. Not at its very best but acceptable
Marston's - Pedigree4.50Not Tried

A group of us had planned to come in here in the morning but, like the other pubs in the town, it was packed and we did not enter. This was an afternoon visit before catching a train and by this time the pub was quite quiet. A good range of beers from the Marstons stable.
