Saturday, and as I stayed overnight, I got into the queue around 10.10 for the 11.00 opening. Jan and Charlotte from Denmark had beaten me to it by some distance. I'm glad too as the queue was already starting to build up. I felt terrible in the morning, but woke up after a couple of strong bottled German beers. Came back via London on the train.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Coastal - Merry Maidens Mild4.00AcceptableVery dark brown. Very mild, bit of roasted malt. A little grainy. Fine.

Travelled up in the morning and got here about 12.30ish. Bumped into some Ratebeer people and had a great evening with such beer luminaries as Gazza Prescott, Chris_o and Phil Lowry. Drank too much Moor JJJ IPA and Worthington's P2 Imperial Stout towards the end of the day.
BeerABVScoreNotes
BrewDog - Edge3.20GoodVery dark brown, bubbly beige head. Some hops on aroma. Some grainy choc and cereal. It's not a bad little mild, bit grainy, but fine. Bit smokey, some hop on finish. Didn't think it matched up to all the hype it had been getting.
