Good to see this pub busy of a Friday evening. A brief stop here on a rapid stroll down the Bermondsey Beer Mile.

Pleased to see that beers for sale included products from two breweries within sight of the front door Anspach & Hobday and Southwark.
Southwark - Citra5.00GoodA hazy golden colour. Lots of Citra character. Nice. Smooth and mellow when Citra-hopped beers are usually quite crisp and sharp.

About the Marquis of Wellington

Summary of Beer Scores

The pub is found in Bermondsey, Central London, SE1 2HH.

Present since at least 1839, the pub we see today is a twentieth century rebuild as an estate pub. Having looked rather forlorn for a while, it closed in January 2015 only to re-open in November 2016 refurbished and reinvigorated. It now specialises in London-brewed beer and London-distilled gin. There are pavement tables at the front and three distinct seating areas around a central bar. Home-made pizzas are sold.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 7 different beers and tried 2 of them.
