Mid afternoon only 2 others in. Friendly well kept village pub. Worthy of note the large chess board on the outside table.

In Station Road, 10 minutes walk from the station, at one time Young's furthest pub from its brewery. Various tales and yarns exist about how Young's came to acquire it. Large inglenook fireplace and a courtyard garden all in an idyllic setting. 3 handpumps.

We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
