Probably London’s loveliest and most authentic riverside pub. But also one of its least known thanks to the quirkiness of Samuel Smiths. This is a quirkiness that extends to not stocking any cask beer in a pub that could potentially sell loads of the stuff.

Samuel Smith's - Taddy Porter5.00ExcellentPoured from a bottle. Not as sweet as I remember this beer from the past. Really rather excellent in fact.

1600ish Saturday and fairly quiet. This was an unexpected find on my way from The Ship Aground to my next pub so I popped my head through the door and immediately in awe of the superb interior. Multi roomed polished wood panels, marble floors and a duck through snug dividing the bar area.
