I had about forty minutes to wait for a train so I decided to use this pub as a waiting room. It was encouragingly busy for a January evening in a seaside pub, and the food offering looked as if it would be worth missing a train for.

We came here as it is a handy place to wait for a train from the nearby Margate Railway Station, a nice comfortable pub made for an enjoyable visit.

Late evening and fairly quiet. Just time for a swift half heading back to the station.

I was heading for the railway station to catch my last train home and noticed that this place had reopened so I decided there was just time for a quick half. I like what has been done here and was pleased to see it busy tonight. I notice that their web site mentions something called Brewhouse and Oyster Bar downstairs, well I will have to check that one out another day.
