Early evening for a quick one. I might have stayed longer had there been a more inspiring beer choice.

The pub is found in Aveley, Essex, RM15 4BB.

An old pub on Aveley’s modest high street that has been present here since at least the 1770s. It is largely unmodernised inside, although any old partitions have been removed to leave a single, split-level bar area with a Public Bar character. There is a games room with a pool table at the rear and some outside seating in a yard at the back. Once branded as a Taylor Walker pub. Two handpumps on the bar.

We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
