Late evening visit. Not, I think, a great real ale selling venue.

In Devonshire Road on a high pavement opposite the railway station, formerly called Hob and Railway Signal Hotel this is an Ei / Rupert Clevely Hippo Inns venture which reopened in October 2015. Food oriented house with the ground floor on three levels and an upstairs bar / function room. To the right hand side is a partly covered outside patio. 3 handpumps on the ground floor L-shaped bar counter, selling mainly local ales.

We have visited this pub once, seen 2 different beers and tried both.
