Lunchtime and really quite a pleasant experience on my first visit here for years – I shall have to stop telling people that this is one of the grimmest pubs around.

The pub is found in Dagenham, Greater London, RM10 8QS.

A former Wetherspoon house standing in the parade of shops beside Dagenham Heathway Underground station. Operated as a pub by Wetherspoon from June 1994 until February 2018, but included on a list of pubs issued by the pub chain in 2016 that they were seeking to close or sell. There is a relatively small bar area at street level and a larger area, mostly used by diners, down some steps towards the rear of the building. Sold by Wetherspoon and closed in February 2018, re-opened under new ownership a couple of months later.

We have visited this pub once, seen 8 different beers and tried 2 of them.
