Mid evening visit. Good chatty barman made us welcome, a jack of all trades maybe as when the band started playing and a guitar string broke during the first song he was quick to know where to get a replacement.

The pub is found in Cranbrook, Kent, TN17 3EX.
In Carriers Road in the heart of the village this is probably the most pubby of the remaining pubs there. Is also home to the Cafe Royal @ The White Horse and has several letting rooms. Long bar counter faces the front doors and is equipped with 4 handpumps. Regular live music. Reported closed and boarded up July 2023.
