Lunchtime and fairly quiet, the barman apologised for stoking the fire up a bit too much as the weather was a bit warmer than it had been earlier in the week. Just one other group of customers who appeared to be on their way to or from a wedding.

In Gun Wharf on Dock Road, this is a fine Georgian building that has been tastefully refurbished, there are good views across the river and an outdoor drinking area. After the takeover by Stonegate Pub Group closed in winter 2021 and relaunched and re-opened on 11th January 2022. 10% discount for card carrying CAMRA members. 4 handpumps in each of the two bars.
