1730 and open already with a couple of customers in, friendly and enthusiastic welcome from the son of the owner who was also present. We were offered generous amounts of free bowls of tasty peanuts to soak up the beers.

Evening visit until 10pm close. Makes Barnehurst well worth visiting when it had no attraction before. Quite deep discussion with behind the bar about cask and keg.

Evening visit until 10pm close. My first visit here and nearly caught out by the rule that last drinks must be ordered no later than 20 minutes before advertised closing time. Small one room but noise levels were high with 20 or so in residence, suggest needs some soft furnishings or noise baffles to help prevent this.

Shop conversion small one-roomed Micropub in a row of shops in Barnehurst Road, just down from Barnehurst railway station and doors away from The Red Barn pub, which opened in April 2018 and effectively acts as taproom for Bexley Brewery. Only the second pub in the area after the Red Barn almost next door which opened in 1936. Cask beers sold through 3 handpumps on the bar counter with ciders kept in boxes in the chilled cellar room. There are also 3 keg beer taps on the wall abutting the cellar room. Beware the last order a drink time is actually 20 minutes before the advertised closing time. Seating is at several standard height tables. Garden facilities are being planned.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 6 different beers and tried 4 of them.
