Just a small scattering of Monday evening drinkers at a pub that usually appears offputtingly crowded.

Stopped for one final pint on the way back to London Bridge. European barmaid was very friendly and catered to our strange request for bowls of mixed-flavoured crips. Couples were dotted around enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. Just the one ale on this time.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Beartown (latterly part of Manning Brewers) - Bitter3.70GoodLight amber bitter with sweet malts and grassy hops. Very nice.

Mixed clientèle ranging from city workers to tourists and pipe-smoking old gents. Popular at lunchtimes and for after work drinks/eats. Good value food for the area. Benches out the front where you can just about sit in view of Tower Bridge.

The pub is found in Southwark, Central London, SE1 2TZ.

This pub in Tooley Street was established as the King of Prussia by 1825, being renamed hastily the King of Belgium on the outbreak of the First World War. It had been rebuilt in its present form in 1897, with a multi-room layout – the evidence of which still survives with the series of external doors and the tiled former corridor to a lost back room. In the shadow of Tower Bridge, a popular bar/restaurant with two ales. Further renaming in late 2019.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 5 different beers and tried 3 of them.
