I really liked this pub, good community feel to it and an impressive array of beers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
King Beer (formerly W.J. King) - Red River4.80GoodPale chestnut, lasting thin ivory head. Nice sweetish earthy ESB. I think I've had this before in bottle from the Cask & Glass in Tonbridge. Good malts, good depth, decent hops on the end which are quite earthy.
Ringwood - 4X Porter4.70AcceptableVery deep ruby colour, lasting dark beige head. Some choc on aroma, some dark fruits, black cherry, dark plum. Some fullness. Really very good condition, some lasting fruit sweetness. It's even a little whisky like in the malts.
