Martin the MildmanAcceptable16 May 2012 Bit of a mix up here I fear as this came from a pump marked Oldershaws Grantham Dark, but further down the bar was this one amongst four milds that were on in this outlet. No mistaking the Flipside taste of bitter, nutty malt and a dry, bitter finish, certainly not Grantham Dark. My score 14/20.

Cock & Hoop, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire

Martin the MildmanAcceptable07 May 2012 Rather a lot of bitterness in this ruby coloured mild. Dryish, bitter finish. My score 14/20.

The Lion, Basford, Nottinghamshire

Martin the MildmanPoor28 Apr 2012 Unfortunately dominated by a very bitter crystal malt flavour with very little sweetness and a dry finish and therefore not at all mild. My score 11/20.

Martin the MildmanExcellent09 May 2011 Ruby/brown mild with a full bodied and sweet malty character. A little hoppiness in the finish. My score 16/20.

The Cross Keys, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire

WhoScoreWhenNotes
Martin the MildmanGood02 May 2011 Red/brown beer that is just about classable as a mild. Some biscuity maltiness and low hoppiness leading to a dryish and fairly bitter finish. My score 15/20.
