Bear & Ragged StaffExceptional24 Apr 2013 Simply the best beer of its type. A traditional black country bitter, malty and bitter / sweet. Crystal clear, well presented, thin head, good body, perfectly balanced. Absolutely superb.

ChrisEExcellent29 Nov 2018 A good traditional black country pint. Good value at £3.20 per pint but a bit of a surprise after paying £2.70 for Holdens, but this is a Holdens pub.

RayExcellent12 Jun 2015 Traditional black country bitter. Smooth, some bitterness and, perhaps, a little more caramel than I'd been expecting.
Jack WilliamGood09 Aug 2014 Refreshing, no strong flavours.
Bear & Ragged StaffExcellent03 Jul 2013 Perhaps I'm being a bit picky but this didn't taste quite as good as when I had it in the Black Country. Still good though.
ChrisEExcellent09 May 2011 Batham's Bitter is a little bit too sweet for my liking, but this was in really good condition.
