Ian		31 Mar 2006	I was really pleased to find this on cask. Black beer with lasting bubbly beige head. Good aroma of dark malts, choc/coffee and toffee. Full in mouth, touch of sourness before more toffee/choc/grainy coffee. Some juicyness too. Certainly one of my favourite porters. Tad sweeter maybe than most, but with a dry finish

Martin the Mildman		04 Jun 2009	More like Harveys should be, thick mouthfeel with lots of sweet malt but also some hoppiness towards the finish. As this is normally a March beer, I suspect this cask has been in the cellar for 2 months! A classic Porter. My score 17/20.
