Hogan Sampling		20 Jun 2026	2nd beer of this visit: Its second day on for this American Pale Ale from Oakham Brewery, founded in 1993 in Oakham, in the county of Rutland, before brewing operations moved to Peterborough in Cambridgeshire in 1998. Still exhibiting a good head and lasting lacing. It is a collaboration with Thornbridge Brewery, an independent UK craft brewery based in Bakewell, Derbyshire, and founded in 2005. A fruited first hit. A fruited hoppiness rising with citrus, tropical fruit and stone fruit flavours leaping up. It is heavily dry-hopped using four well-known US hops, Columbus aiding its earthy, spicy and resinous flavours, Amarillo contributing orange and citrus hints, Cascade aiding grapefruit and floral notes and Citra behind its fruit and citrus flavours. A very dry fruitiness paddling out with earthy spice and black pepper. Served in good nick.
