Martin the Mildman		23 Dec 2012	Full bodied dark ruby bitter with sweetish toffee malt flavours and some fruity hop for balance. My score 16/20.

Ian		17 Dec 2008	Slightly creamier than in the Old Brewery Tavern. Lovely balanced hop, very good tangerine crystallised fruit. I now really look forward to having a Gadd's beer. Lovely fruit and hop on this. I had it as a 3.5/5 to start with but as the pint went down, I was really impressed. Yes, I would call this an excellent beer. Doesn't take much to make me happy, but a 4/5 beer in Canterbury does.

Ian		24 Dec 2007	Ruby/deep copper colour with lasting beige head. Rich malty aroma with earthy hops. Good condition in mouth, malt is a little syrupy, then soft earthy hops kick in . Bit of a sipper this one. Decent winter warmer. Fruits are juicy and the hop finish grows on you. Got better as the pint went down.
