Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Stephen HarrisAcceptable18 Jan 2012 Gold coloured, with some hop in the aroma. But taste dominated by spicy yeast flavours which probably should not be there.

IanAcceptable25 Feb 2010 Gold, thin lasting white head. Odd mix of diacetyl and flowery floral hop on aroma. Floral golden ale is quite good, never too ascetic, but aroma puts me off a bit.

IanAcceptable02 Jan 2008 Pale gold, lasting thin beige head. Came on the night before lateish apparently. Blond ale with grapefruit and tangerine citrus hops. A little bit too acidic for it’s own good, but the aroma is good. Little bit herby and the US hops on the finish are quite astringent. Not entirely balanced, but a decent stab.
