IanExcellent02 Jan 2008 For anyone who has spent any time in Liverpool, the return of Higsonā€™s does send a little thrill of excitement through you, purely for the historical factor. This beer is gold in colour with a thick beige head. Wow, what a nice bitter. Properly bitter on the finish. Easy drinking sessioning type beer. Attractive leafy green hop aroma, lively condition in the mouth, touch of sulphury yeasty falvour in mouth and then this hoppy bite. Excellent. Not sure if it is anything like the original, but this is a good start.
