Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

The Thomas Ingoldsby, Canterbury, Kent

AndrewExcellent10 Apr 2008 Caramel brown in colour. Good thin mottled grey-white head. Excellent quaffing bitter with low hopping and a watery buscuity malt body. Short sharp hop finish.

The County Hotel, Ashford, Kent

IanAcceptable23 Mar 2008 Copper colour with lasting beige head. Looks in good condition. It’s an ok bitter, just doesn’t do anything special. Aroma of stone/mineral and hop and subtle fruit salad, which is fine. Solid enough in mouth. Fruit salad and moderate hop on finish. Not as yeasty as some Hydes beers. Decent fruit salady bitter
