BlairExcellent26 Sep 2009 I really liked this. Crisp and citrussy, tastes like you'd expect a lager to just a lot better.

James TGood21 Sep 2009 1st pint out the barrel. The 2nd pint which a friend had looked better. Ever so slight cloudy hue to mine which was a shame since my eyes had popped out my head when they replaced the Cornish Knocker with this... Good scoop though!

The Marine Hotel, Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire

RayExcellent20 Sep 2009 Sparkling in the glass and in the mouth this tastes like Martin Dickie's interpretation of a classic Czech beer - "tankova" Pilsner Urquell would be a good current comparison. Dark gold in colour with a long lasting creamy head it looked terrific. Aroma and taste matched and, served at cellar temperature, it was MUCH better than the bottled version.

IanExcellent15 Aug 2009 My favourite British brewed lager.
DubbelExcellent14 Aug 2009 Really good lager-ale. Bitter and more lager-like than previous samples.
IanGood06 Jun 2009 Didn't have the diacetyl that it does in the bottles that I've recently, still has great hop and great drinkability for a cask conditioned lager.
Martin the MildmanExcellent06 Jun 2009 Should get 4.5 stars if there was such an option. Just the right balance of hops and malt in the mouth, then hops kick in at the finish.
