Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

IanPoor24 Jun 2009 Poured a hazy russet and I must admit I was in two minds as to whether to give it back to the barman as the end of the barrel. Some fruit on aroma. Raspberry, bit of diacetyl. Really some hop on finish. Some butter/diacetyl in mouth. Classic good condition. Really not sure if this should taste like this. It reminds me of a fruit pie but not entirely in a good way. It’s pretty terrible to be honest but with hints of greatness. Had to leave a half of a pint.

Martin the MildmanAcceptable14 Jun 2009 Ruby/brown mild style beer. Hint of smoked malt, little hop character and a dryish malty finish. My score 14/20.
