Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

McGargleAcceptable21 Mar 2013 P{erfectly drinkable but sweeter and far less hoppy than it was. Cloying finish.

RayAcceptable02 Sep 2010 Not much going on in this lightweight, golden, summer ale. Improved as it 'breathed' warmed up. Probably 2* really.

RayAcceptable09 Oct 2010 This had improved since last sampled. Firm malt body and some hint of fruity hops. Let down by phenolic overtones in the finish.

RayPoor21 May 2010 Over lively with an unpleasant sweet, herby finish. Can't identify the taste but seen before with Nechtan.
McGargleAcceptable02 Oct 2009 Difficult to pull - suspect beer had drained below the syphon. Past its best. Would have 2.1/2* if available.
McGargleExcellent30 Aug 2009 Straw coloured hoppy summer style ale. Full bodied for its strength perhaps coming from local oatmeal in the grist.
