IanExcellent17 Jan 2006 Deep brown with thin bubbly beige head. Lots of choc liquer favour. Vinous, plums, black cherry fruit. Rich and deep. I can see why so many people make a fuss over this beer. Rich, dark malt aroma. Very intense flavours. Finish has more of the same. Not overly sweet. Could do with bigger handful of hops on the end

The Chambers, Folkestone, Kent

IanAcceptable15 Apr 2006 Ruby colour, no head. Slightly sour aroma, some toffee. Flavours are a bit dull. Sweetish toffee. Fine
