LeighExcellent12 Apr 2010 Slightly darker than the Pippin, with a distinctly hoppier after-taste. Served in excellent condition and very refreshing.

Town Street (formerly Town Street Tavern), Horsforth, West Yorkshire

LeighExcellent14 Apr 2009 Copper-hued and imbued with masses of peppery hop character from Challenger Hops. Not as agressive as some American IPA's, but slightly more fiery than traditional, mild 'English style' IPA's. A nice companion to Golden Pippin.

Ship & Mitre, Liverpool, Merseyside

IanAcceptable18 Jan 2006 Copper colour with disappearing white head. OK hop aroma with some pear drop in mouth. Fullish, good citrus and hop finish. Clean enough. Not a classic IPA. Hop finish is nice and bitter
