Early afternoon our group easily absorbed by the size of this impressive venue. Recognising the value of past scribes contributions, Dubbel - I raise my glass in your honour, cheers!

I absolutely love this place. Great atmosphere, super food and the beer just gets better and better with every visit. A must if you are passing within 50 miles. Forgot the names of a couple of the beers that were on - but there were at least 7. Took away a mini-cask of rebadged Batemans Rosey Nosey too.

Sat in the low-lit converted cow shed in our own private area. The beer and service here are both truly excellent and the old skool feel to the place is unique. I've never seen so much pub memorabilia in one place!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Steamin' Billy (contract brewed by various) - Skydiver5.00ExcellentAlways was my favourite of the Steamin' Billy lineup even back when it was brewed on site. Still a delicious mid-coloured premium bitter with very good balance.
Abbeydale - Demon Drink4.20ExcellentBrilliant mock medieval 'warning label' pump clip. Abbeydale are a brewery that always impress me. This was light, biscuity and fruity and went down a treat.

A glorious sunny day. Sat outside on one of the many benches. It felt like we were in paradise. Really friendly barmaids and beer in fantastic form. The Sunday lunches looked stunning too.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Dark Star - Hophead (some has also been brewed by Fuller's)3.80ExceptionalSome 200 miles away from its source and as good as I've ever had it. Exceptional quality. And, yes, it was served through a sparkler.
Abbeydale - Stormbringer4.70ExcellentBrilliant sparkling condition. Pale golden, big Maris malt character with sweet juicy hops. Excellent.
Abbeydale - Absolution5.30GoodPale and hoppy (was expecting it to be drawn darker). Less impressive than the Stormbringer in terms of flavour but great condition again.

The pub is found in Oadby, Leicestershire, LE2 2FB.

On the site of the former Stoughton Farm Park in Gartree Road, a large working farm that was open to the public. Formerly the HQ of Steamin' Billy Brewery, now contract brewed at Grainstore. Wonderfully peaceful location and olde worlde dark interior. Lots of old pub signs and fixtures adorn the walls. Archaic method of dispense and an always strong line up of ale both from Steamin' Billy and various other micros. Various other farm and craft shops on site. A must if anywhere near the area.

We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 14 different beers and tried 6 of them.
